History
We pass on our passion for hunting and nature from generation to generation.
It was King Alfonso XIII, a great partridge shooting enthusiast, who initiated and promoted the practice in "La Encomienda de Mudela". From there, it spread to neighbouring estates and regions, including "Valbueno". The organisation of partridge shooting on this estate began in the early 20th century.
From then on, partridge shooting as a typically Spanish hunting modality became widespread in the region of La Mancha. The management of the estate was characterised by the application of methods and policies for the protection of the wild partridge, which led to the celebration of hunts with magnificent results. Baron Hubert Von Pantz’s group achieved the Spanish year record for the number of birds in «Valbueno» on 26th October 1958.
Who We Are
As hunters for several generations, the Vélez family is also very active in institutions committed to sharing with society the essential role that hunting plays in the conservation and protection of nature. We want to pass on this passion to our children so that in the future they too will be in a position to guarantee the survival of the legacy they have received.
